Home Depot has already updated its website regarding the kids’ workshop for November. Kids will be making a Veterans’ Day Toy Helicopter. It will be wooden with turning blades. We are already excited to be there, R loves helicopters! I wonder if they are going to invite some veterans or active duty military personnel to be there. Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 9 AM to 12 NN!
Register now to secure your spot. Again, these workshops from Home Depot are free, and kids love them! If you have any questions, contact your local Home Depot for more information.
I will have a follow up post regarding this event. I will try to take a lot of pictures, but my priority is to help R, and enjoy the workshop. I figure if the set up is similar to the Fire Truck one, then I would encourage R to paint all the parts first, let them dry, and then nail them altogether after. We would also try to be much earlier than just a ten-minute allowance. After all, Home Depot opens at 6 AM on Saturdays, so if we get to be too early, we can always look at the flowers at the garden, or browse along the aisles for future project ideas.
